Fillings are used to treat cavities. If you are experiencing tooth pain and/or sensitivity to heat or cold, please come to see us as soon as possible. You likely have a cavity. Left untreated, cavities can lead to further tooth decay and increased pain.
As well as being more aesthetically attractive, new metal-free filings don’t conduct heat and cold as easily. They also take less time to harden than old, traditional filings. This means you’ll be out of the dentist’s office sooner and free to carry on with your day!
Dr. Lachman will usually advise metal-free fillings to you as an option, if you have a cavity or want to replace your old metal fillings.
